Carpe Dium

I love when things are free. One of my favorite things every day is the basket of candy in my schools cafeteria. I make sure to take advantage of it every day, whether it gives me peppermints or lollipops, I don't care. However, lately I have been feeling quite guilty whenever I take a big handful of the delicious treats, because I know there has got to be someone looking at me, judging me. I have been trying to find away to make it inconspicuous, but there really is no way to. "The harder you try and fail to do something without being seen, the worse the crime becomes." - Drew Eccleston. Well, check this out. A couple of days ago I made a wondrous discovery. Our health office gives away cough drops for free! I always knew you could get medicine there, but the idea of getting cough drops never dawned on me. Okay, cough drops aren't always as good as real candy, but when I went to get cough drops today for the first time, I felt completely no shame grabbing an enormous handful and filling my pockets with them. When it's candy, it's a privilege, but when it's cough drops, it becomes a necessity.

I am on top of the world.
